"Yachats, Oregon, what's that?" A question I was often asked after I mentioned to people that's where we were headed for our weekend getaway. A place I had no idea about until one weekend at the coast, Erik and I drove south down 101 and through Cape Perpetua. This beautiful cape is the reasoning for our trip to Yachats, Oregon. Well, besides the A-frame cabin. This cape is where we spent our Saturday morning, and this view is how we decided which hike we'd take. If you've never had the chance to see this part of the coast, it's a must. I still need to head back, as we couldn't see everything in the short weekend. So much green.

april favorites
This month, after I saw the difference pure white walls could make (thank you, roommate), I decided to redo my bedroom! Therefore, most of my favorite finds this month were ones for my room. My makeover should be up here once it is complete.
-Urban Outfitters was my go to as I got a few good books; including the Cabin Porn one above. I got the marble phone charger and decorative pillow there as well.
-This open back sweater is amazing and once again, I own another item from Abercrombie.
-I've been asked a lot about this gold water bottle. Swell partnered with Starbucks and it can be found here.
-You are my happy. Thank you, tinylovedesign for creating this adorable print! Check them out here

another weekend, another a-frame
Yachats, Oregon was the getaway this past weekend. The reason? This amazing cabin. It was also a great reason to escape for some time with these girls. I think I got them hooked on my A-frame cabin obsession while we were there, as they were excited to find the next to visit. Here are a few photos from our stay. The majority of the time we spent at the cabin enjoying card games, but we got the chance to go on a beautiful hike (which I'll post later). We were also able to enjoy the beautiful beach since we were blessed with gorgeous weather.

tulip fields
Spring, I love you. I'm often torn over which season to call my favorite, as I find myself enamored over each one every time they approach. But spring, you're a tough one to beat; with all of your bloom. Seriously, it's so enchanting. On Sunday I headed to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival with a girlfriend, and I anticipated a stressful day because of the popularity the festival has received over the last few years. I've been coming every year for awhile and this was the most packed that I have ever seen it. Luckily for me, you can't really tell by the photos. I think we had the perfect plan though. We arrived around three o'clock expecting people would be heading home. As we approached the fields with wine in hand, we decided the best approach would be to hang out in the grass and finish our wine before tackling the crowded fields. We kept commenting on how the people would disperse well before six o'clock. Then we kept saying it wouldn't even matter since there was no way we would be there until that time. You guys, we were there until that time. Three hours of blissfulness roaming through the tulips, and we were right. The crowds died off, and there were moments I felt like we had the fields to ourselves.
