hanging with the girls

My life has been overcome with chalk sessions, trips to the park, barbies, puzzles and board games, and chasing little ones around trying to get them ready for the day. I can already see what my life will be like in about 10 years and it will include crustless sandwiches and straw bowels for cereal.  I'm not complaining.

Ginger

This weekend I had the opportunity to take my friends senior pictures. It's crazy to think she is now a senior! This is my best friends little sister and I remember when she was just a miniature ginger.  I've joked about how sick it is that she's a red head, but secretly I think she's the cutest red head I've ever seen. These pictures actually made her realize how ginger she truly is.  I had to explain to her that this is what I've been trying to tell her the whole time!

"You my Hewwo"

After 3 months off from nannying, I have returned to the little girl who calls me Waygen. I missed watching this little one and her 2 sisters so much this summer and I'm glad to be back! Who wouldn't be able to stay away from a child who thinks you're their hewwo, and who is constantly being told "Waygen, I lube you."  Today we spent the day outside sunbathing and talking about scary dreams with wigged witches. I love my job.

midweek pick me up

Anyone who knows me knows I have a huge obsession with Taco Bell.  So much that I've already made plans to have them cater my wedding. Okay...maybe just have a 4th meal table. Nonetheless, Taco Bell will be present when I get married. Taco Bell always makes me feel better and is seriously the key to my heart.  With that being said, it is the perfect midweek pick me up...or anytime of day/night pick me up. My personal buys are the crunchy taco and the bean and cheese burrito.

Wind & Sand

It seems like each time I go to the Oregon Coast with this girl it ends up not working out as we planned.  Last time it was cloudy and freezing and we were way under dressed.  Not to mention we were running on an empty tank of gas.  This time we could not seem to escape the wind and sand.  I'm pretty sure I was able to find sand everywhere on my body by the time we left including inside of my ears.  If it weren't for the amazing burger and beautiful cove this day would have been a bust.

meet me at the fair

It's that time of year again! When you collect any extra cash laying around and fast for an entire day just so you can go to the Clark County Fair, spend a ridiculous amount on admission, and eat at as many fried food booths as possible.  This year I had two things on my mind, spuds and elephant ears. The pulled pork sandwich I got was only a plus. We spent the first hour eating as much as possible and the following hour trying to walk off the thousand calories we just ingested and complaining about how full we were. A lady even commented on how amazing it was that we were eating an elephant ear while in line to get a milkshake. Hey lady, that's what the Clark County Fair is all about!

My summer has been spent with great friends, by the pool, at happy hours, indulging in my favorite foods, and scrap booking my favorite memories.

My Love for Downtown Camas

Downtown Camas is my go to when searching for the best antiques around.  Today my friend Amanda needed help searching for items to fill her new bedroom and the first place I thought of was the Camas Antique store.  I was so pleased when she expressed her love for the shop.  It was a successful trip and only got better when we spotted the local Farmers Market.  The flowers at these markets get me every time; they are both beautiful and cheap!

one of those days

Do you ever wake up and think "today I am going to eat healthy"?  Well today was one of those days for me, only it was immediately ruled out as an option as soon as I got to work.  Someone decided to bring in doughnuts.  Voodoo doughnuts that is.  Made famous for their crazy toppings including bacon on top of a regular maple bar. I could not refuse (especially since I have no self control when it comes to food).  Maybe tomorrow will be a better day :)
