Christmas in New York

Yes, I was blessed with the opportunity to spend this Christmas in New York City! I don't even know where to begin with posting pictures because I took so many.  So for the occasion, I'll start with some Christmas views I saw.  I hope you're having a very Merry Christmas!

These two were so cute waiting for their Christmas brunch with Santa!
I loved seeing the city in this way, but was disappointed that it never snowed while I was there.  In fact, it was 70 degrees one day! Next time I go back I think I want to see the city in the Spring or Fall.

somewhere in arizona

...I found heaven.
As my bucket list, New York City Christmas trip nears closer, I can't help but reminisce back to that Grand Canyon bucket list road trip I took this summer with my closest friends.  I'm so glad I got to share that week with these ladies.  I remember how I couldn't stop smiling that morning with the anticipation built up inside and I just wanted to scream.  I have wanted to see the Grand Canyon my whole life obviously, as I just described my excitement level to be at an abnormal high.  I text my dad when I got there and he asked "how is it?" My response? "Just grand." Whoever named this place did a fantastic job. It really is an amazing site to see.

The Scott's

Yes I gave a speech, and yes Tanner loved it :)

October 6th my best friend Stephanie got married. I can't believe it! I am so happy for these two and so excited I got to be apart of such a beautiful wedding.  The day was perfect with sunny skies and falling Autumn leaves. I could barely hold myself together even watching "the first look" because Tanner and Stephanie are so perfect for each other and I know they're going to have a lifetime of happiness. I seriously wish I had a wedding to attend every month because I love them so much.  Maria Lamb who is so cute and talented took these wedding photos (anthemphotography.com). She really did a great job.

Pumpkin Patching

Megan, Stephanie, and I headed out to the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch a few weekends ago and let me just say, I love any day I get to spend with these two.  The foggy morning set the perfect mood as we discussed all the things we needed to do before Megan moves away from us to head off to Germany.  Sunday afternoons won't be the same without her, but I'm glad we all got to spend one last fall together.

Halloween

After deciding last minute to go as an 80's girl this Halloween, I realized immediately I was raised in the wrong decade. Why isn't it still appropriate to dress in leotards and big headbands? And don't even get me started on how perfect my thick wavy hair would have been.

Paradise

This was my view for a week of my life.
When planning for our Hawaii trip back in April, I felt like the trip would never happen.  Now it has come and gone, along with my tan, as it is slowly peeling off.  We spent most of our time soaking in the rays and taking in the gorgeous beaches Hawaii has to offer.  We loved the change from our beaches, and actually preferred running into the water just so we could cool off (something that would never happen on the Oregon coast).  I indulged in more Gelato than I have ever done in my life and felt like a grandma going to bed around 9 o'clock.  I guess relaxing all day really took a lot of energy out of me :)  I am happy I ended the summer with this and oddly enough, I am happy to be done with my travels for awhile.  There's just no place like home, right?
